How a Bill becomes Law: A bill goes through three readings in the Assembly. The First Reading introduces the bill. The Second Reading debates the principles of the bill. The bill then goes to a Committee for scrutiny before the Third Reading where it is voted upon. Once passed it is assented to by the Governor and becomes an Act.
